2008 is over, and I've now been flying for around three and a half years. I had a good first half of the year, but the second not so many flights.

27/10/2008 Phoenix
Clocks have gone back now so no more after work flying :( I've now got Phoenix simulator.
24/09/2008 New Model ~ Wild Wing
I've ordered a Wild Wing, going to transplant the electorics from the Zagi.
13-14/09/2008 North Notts Fly-in
My forth year at the North Notts fly-in. I arrived at about 4pm on the Saturday just in time to see some pylon racing for the first time. I managed six flights before it got dark. This included changing the damper on the 500 which cured the vibration problem and replacing the main shaft on 450 as I crashed it with it landed trying to set the timer going. I decided to camp, the evening barbeque was excellent as usual, with more night flying than previous years. Up early on the Sunday I got the carbon falcon out for the first time at a fly-in, it generated the usual interest. Six heli flights Sunday, and I won two cans of OptiFuel in the raffle.

No flying this weekend as I went to the British GP.
16/06/2008 PANDAS Fly-in
I went to the Pontefract and District Aeromodellers Heli fly-in today. One flight with the raptor,and four with the T-Rex 500.
31/05/2008 May Stats
Wow May 2008 has been my best month of flying so far with 49 flights, I only managed 48 in the whole of 2007. My previous best month was September 2006 with 28 flights.
18/05/2008 Clubman 3DX Competition
Another great Clubman 3DX competiton, the third I've attended. There was a realy good turn out at a great venue, with 19 competitors who all put on good performances. I did well in the raffle and won a CSM SL720 gyro, as well as a few other bits. The weekend has inspired me to get back on the sim and push flying forwards.
17/05/2008 Clubman 3DX Fly-in
Four 500 flights during the day, and my first two indoor flights with my 450, it was quite a small space, half a tennis court, which made it a good challenge.
11/05/2008 Park Hall Fly-in
A hot Sunday at the Park Hall Fly-in, first time I've been to the field and they have a good site, very friendly with good refreshments, one for the calendar next year. I had six flights, and Paul had a fly of my Raptor to check its set up. His flybarless Synergy flew really well.
