12-13/09/2009 North Notts Fly-in ~ 500 Flight 92 ~ Raptor Flight 296
My fifth year at the North Notts fly-in. I arrived at about 5pm on the Saturday just in time to fit in two flights before it got dark. I camped for the second year in a row to watch the night flying and enjoyed the excellent evening barbeque. A bit too windy on the Sunday so I just watched, didn't win a prize in the raffle :(

10/06/2009 Fixing
A little bit after the weekend but I've started fixing :) The Raptor is ready to fly again, 500 looks quite bad, I can't move one of the servos :(
05/06/2009 New Website Format
Changed the stylesheet on the site again needs some tidying up. Not done any modelling in ages, I've been away alot with work and have been very busy with DIY, the trips have now stopped so hopefully I'm going to start repairs this weekend :)
10/05/2009 500 Flights 82-83/Crash 2 ~ Raptor Flight 294
Park Hall Heli flyin, second year at this event, a great day, even though I crashed :( Pics in the Gallery. The 500 flying well but I was trying to keep it close due to all the other heli's buzzing about, it got to the side of me and I panicked, and it went in. Next tried the Raptor but the vibrations were still there. I handed the Tx to Paul to see if he could diagnose the problem, it work fine for him, typical. We had a look over the heli a found some loose screws, I'll tighten these up to see if it helps.

Another new model has arrived :)
29/03/2009 500 Flights 79-81 ~ Raptor Flight 293
Wow what a difference glasses make :) just flying around to get used to the new view :) Blew two glow plugs on the raptor by putting 12 volts through them :( Lanaded the flight early as I saw some bad vibrations, I'll investigate later.

Not been doing any modelling for a few weeks, been working on the garden at home. I've now got some glasses for distance vision, hoping this will help me see the heli's better in the air. Clocks forward this weekend so after work flying can start again :)

Warm day at the field today, for the first time this year I didn't need to wear gloves :)

Frozen field. Flew the 450 first, flying well so I can take it apart to put in the Airwolf. One flight with the Raptor and two with the 500 all level flight with some nose in etc.

Wind dropped in the afternoon so I managed three flights, could of had more but I only took the 500 and no charger :(

One of the nicest weekends in ages, low wind, it was cold but not freezing. A few people at the field and I had three flights.
04/01/2009 500 Flight 67 ~ Wild Wing Doh!
Very cold, the ground was frozen, but no wind. I tried the wild wing first, a glide test went ok, but the second time I tried to launch it the motor snapped out of it mount, I guess due to the hard ground. So I got the 500 out, it was so cold so I only had one quick flight.
